Is sexual compatibility essential for relationship longevity?

Research shows couples with aligned sexual desire have higher satisfaction and lower divorce rates. But "aligned" doesn't mean identical frequency—it means both partners feel satisfied. A couple where one wants sex 2x weekly and compromise on 1x weekly is more aligned than both wanting 2x but only doing 0.5x due to avoidance.

What if our drives are drastically different?
