All 18 Enneagram Wings
Each of the nine Enneagram types has two adjacent wings — the numbers on either side of it on the symbol. Your wing colours how your core type shows up. Pick a wing to read the full profile.
What is a wing?
A wing is the influence of an adjacent Enneagram type on your core type. Everyone has access to both adjacent numbers, but most people develop one of the two more strongly. A 1w2 (a One with a Two wing) behaves differently than a 1w9 — same core motivation, different interpersonal style.
Wings explain why two people of the same Enneagram type can look so different in daily life. The core type is the engine; the wing is the steering.
