Introverted Feeling (Fi)

A Jungian cognitive function that evaluates internal values, authenticity, and personal meaning. Fi users prioritize integrity, are guided by principles, and deeply understand their own emotions.

Introverted Feeling (Fi) focuses internally on personal values, authenticity, and emotional meaning. Fi-users are guided by internal ethical frameworks and ask "Is this true to who I am?"

Characteristics: values-driven, authentic, principled, emotionally self-aware, often quiet but deeply passionate about causes they believe in. They can struggle with external communication of their values, or appear judgmental when their values conflict with others.

In Myers-Briggs, Fi is the primary function for ISFP and INFP types. Fi with Extraverted Sensing (Se) creates the "adventurer" — authentic, experience-seeking, values-aligned. Fi with Extraverted Intuition (Ne) creates the "mediator" — idealistic, seeing human potential, values-driven. Fi-users are passionate advocates for causes, often drawn to helping professions, creative expression, and mission-driven work. They need role alignment with their values.
