Extraverted Thinking (Te)
A Jungian cognitive function that applies external logic, efficiency, and objective analysis to the outside world. Te users organize systems, manage operations, and drive effectiveness.
Extraverted Thinking (Te) focuses externally on objective logic, efficiency, and organizing the world according to rational principles. Te-users are the managers, strategists, and systems operators.
Characteristics: efficient, organized, decisive, objective, results-driven, directs others effectively. They can seem cold, directive, or impatient with emotional concerns. They focus on what works, not what feels right.
In Myers-Briggs, Te is the primary function for ESTJ and ENTJ types. Te with Introverted Intuition (Ni) creates the "commander" — strategic, ambitious, executive leader. Te with Introverted Sensing (Si) creates the "logistician" — systematic, orderly, reliable. Te-users excel in management, military, business operations, project management, and fields requiring logical organization and efficiency.
