I korthet
Master R2 bucket management, object metadata, presigned URLs, and Worker integration to store files globally with zero egress bandwidth charges.
Vad är Cloudflare R2 Storage
Cloudflare R2 is an object storage service (like AWS S3) that stores files globally across Cloudflare's edge network. The killer feature: zero egress bandwidth charges. Files are served globally with low latency; downloading 1TB doesn't cost extra. S3-compatible API makes migration straightforward. Key features:

❓ Vanliga frågor
Why R2 instead of S3?
S3 charges egress ($0.09/GB); R2 = free egress. For apps with high download volume, R2 dramatically cheaper. Trade-off: R2 smaller feature set, younger platform.
Is R2 production-ready?
Yes, since 2022. Millions of requests daily. Used by production apps. Mature enough; still smaller than S3.
Can I use AWS SDK?
Yes, R2 is S3-compatible. Many boto3/javascript s3 clients work with R2 endpoint swap. Not 100% compatible (some features missing).
Job market?
~1k roles (US, small). Mostly Cloudflare ecosystem. Less saturated than AWS S3.
Migration from S3?
Fairly easy. Dump bucket, move to R2. Change SDK endpoint config. Some features (versioning, replication) may not work identically.
Cost savings example?
1TB/month download: S3 $92/mo egress, R2 $5 storage (no egress). For media apps = 90% cost savings.
Salary impact?
R2 alone = small premium. R2 + Workers + Durable Objects = full stack $140–200k.
