Journey mapping is the practice of visualizing how customers interact with your product/service from awareness through advocacy. Maps show touchpoints (web, email, in-app), emotions, pain points, and opportunities. Used by UX researchers, product managers, and strategists. Competency takes 2-3 months. Practitioners enable 20-30% improvement in customer satisfaction by identifying and fixing pain points.

什麼是 Journey Mapping Experience

Journey mapping is a visual technique for understanding how customers experience your product or service over time. A journey map shows: stages (awareness → consideration → purchase → retention → advocacy), touchpoints (web, email, in-app, phone, store), customer actions, emotions, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Maps are usually created for specific personas (customer segments) and can span days to months depending on category (e-commerce journey: days; insurance customer journey: months).

❓ 常見問題

What's the difference between journey mapping and user flows?
User flows: happy path (how users achieve a goal: login → browse → purchase). Journey maps: holistic view including emotions, pain, alternatives, all touchpoints. Flows are task-focused; journeys are emotion-focused. Both valuable: flows for feature design, journeys for experience strategy.
What phase does the journey start?
Pre-awareness (competitor research, word-of-mouth). Maps usually start at awareness. Some include pre-awareness if relevant (B2B enterprise evaluation). Post-purchase (retention, advocacy) often overlooked but critical. Include full loop.
How many personas should I map?
1-3 primary personas. Mapping all personas = too many maps. Focus on high-value personas. For e-commerce: might map 'bargain hunter' and 'premium seeker' (different journeys). Map divergent segments; ignore marginal personas.
Can journey maps change based on context?
Absolutely. Same person behaves differently on mobile vs desktop, during weekday vs weekend, when rushed vs browsing. Create separate maps for each context (mobile journey, first-time user journey, repeat user journey).
How do I validate journey maps?
User research: conduct interviews and usability tests with target users. Show draft map, ask: 'Is this how you experience it?'. Adjust based on feedback. Validate with 5-10 real users minimum.
