About University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UT Chattanooga, UTC, or Chattanooga) is a public research university in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. It was founded in 1886 and is part of the University of Tennessee System. The university is located in the heart of Chattanooga, Tennessee's fourth-most populous city, recognized as America's first "National Park City". The university is composed of five colleges, offering over 150 degree programs and concentrations, including 6 doctoral degree programs. As of fall 2025, UTC enrolled 12,060 students, including over 10,000 undergraduates and more than 1,600 graduate students.
