Menene Session Recording FullStory

FullStory is a session recording platform that captures user interactions on your website or app: clicks, form inputs, page scrolls, errors. It records sessions as searchable, playable videos. You can search for sessions matching criteria (a user who dropped off checkout, a user who encountered a 404 error) and watch what they did. FullStory also provides heatmaps showing aggregate click/scroll patterns. FullStory bridges the gap between quantitative analytics (aggregate metrics) and qualitative insights (actual user behavior). Analytics tells you "10% conversion rate"; FullStory shows you why the other 90% didn't convert.

What is FullStory and how is it different from Google Analytics?
Analytics shows aggregate metrics: bounce rate, conversion rate. FullStory records individual sessions: you watch what the user did, click-by-click. Analytics answers 'how many?', FullStory answers 'why?'
Can FullStory record sensitive data like passwords and credit cards?
By default, FullStory masks sensitive fields (passwords, card numbers). You configure what gets masked. Compliance is built in (GDPR, HIPAA). Privacy is a feature, not an afterthought.
How do I find relevant sessions to watch?
Search by page, user segment, event, error, or criteria (e.g., 'all users who completed checkout'). Heatmaps show where users click and scroll. Error replays automatically surface sessions with JavaScript errors.
How much does FullStory cost?
Pricing depends on monthly sessions recorded. Free tier allows limited sessions; paid plans scale. Typical B2B: $500–$5000/month depending on traffic. Calculate based on your expected monthly sessions.
Is FullStory GDPR/CCPA compliant?
Yes, with proper configuration. FullStory can mask PII, honor opt-outs, and handle data requests. Document your configuration and privacy policy to demonstrate compliance.
