❓ Domande frequenti

What's the difference between Build and Release pipelines?
Build pipelines compile code; Release pipelines deploy artifacts to environments. YAML pipelines now unify both.
How do I set environment-specific variables?
Use Variable Groups linked to environments, or define variables in pipeline YAML by environment.
Can I run pipelines on self-hosted agents?
Yes, install Azure Pipelines Agent on your servers and register it to your Azure DevOps project.
What's the free tier monthly build limit?
1800 minutes per month for CI/CD jobs (roughly 30 hours).
How do I run tests in parallel?
Use job multipliers or matrix strategy in YAML; distribute jobs across multiple agents.
Is Azure Pipelines GDPR compliant?
Yes, with appropriate security controls and data residency settings in EU regions.
