Jotai is a lightweight state management library for React built on atoms. An atom is a unit of state; atoms compose into derived atoms (computed values). Advantages over Redux: 10x less boilerplate, better TypeScript, smaller bundle (4KB vs Redux 40KB+), easier to learn.
