Prefect Workflows څه شی دی

Prefect is a modern workflow orchestration platform for building and managing data pipelines and ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) workflows. Developers write Python code using Prefect's Flows (workflows) and Tasks (individual steps), and Prefect handles scheduling, monitoring, retries, and error handling automatically. Prefect is designed to be simple and Pythonic. Instead of YAML-based DAGs (like Airflow), Prefect uses pure Python with decorators (@flow, @task), making it intuitive for Python developers. It includes cloud-hosted Prefect Cloud and self-hosted options (Prefect Server/Orion).

❓ ډېرې پوښتل شوې پوښتنې

What is Prefect?
Prefect is a Python-based workflow orchestration platform. It converts Python functions into workflows with automatic scheduling, error handling, retries, and monitoring.
How does Prefect compare to Airflow?
Both are workflow orchestrators. Prefect has a simpler Python-native API and better developer experience. Airflow is more mature and has a larger community. Prefect is easier to learn; Airflow is more extensible.
What's the cost of using Prefect?
Prefect Cloud is free for development and has paid tiers for production ($0.10/run or $499/month for unlimited). Self-hosted Orion is open-source and free.
Can I schedule workflows with Prefect?
Yes. Prefect Cloud provides scheduling, and you can use Prefect Server (open-source) for scheduling with more control.
How do I handle failures in Prefect workflows?
Prefect has built-in retry logic, fallback tasks, and error handling. You define retry policies, fallback tasks, and alert conditions.
