AWS RDS Relational

AWS RDS (Relational Database Service) manages relational databases for you. Supports MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, and Oracle. AWS handles patching, backups (automated, 35-day retention), failover (multi-AZ), and monitoring. You choose instance type, define parameter groups, and manage via console. RDS is simpler than self-hosting. You don't patch OS, manage storage, or handle replication manually.
