Self-doubt is the internal voice that questions your abilities, decisions, and worth. It's the feeling that you're not capable, that you've made a mistake, or that you'll be exposed as incompetent. It manifests as procrastination, perfectionism, over-preparation, or avoidance. Unlike low confidence (a lack of self-belief), self-doubt is active questioning—you know you can do something, but you're not sure you should or that you're good enough. Self-doubt management is learning to recognize the doubt, understand its roots, challenge the underlying thoughts, and take action despite the doubt. It's not about eliminating doubt—that's impossible—but about preventing it from controlling your behavior.
