Enneagram Type 2 — The Helper

Type 2s are driven by the need to be loved and needed. They express love through helping, giving, and supporting others — sometimes at the expense of their own needs.

At their best, Twos are genuinely altruistic, empathetic, and nurturing. At their worst, they become manipulative, using helpfulness to create obligation. Their growth path involves learning to care for themselves and recognizing that they're loved for who they are, not what they do.

Careers: nursing, counseling, teaching, social work, hospitality, HR, and caregiving roles.
