Heuristic Evaluation

Heuristic evaluation is a usability inspection method where experts review an interface against established design principles (Nielsen's 10 heuristics). Evaluators spend 1-2 hours systematically checking the interface, noting problems. Results are aggregated and prioritized by severity. Unlike user testing (which observes real users), heuristic evaluation is an expert-driven, rapid method. It finds most common issues without recruiting users.
