MLS Integration Real Estate

MLS (Multiple Listing Service) integration is the technical practice of connecting real estate platforms to local MLS databases to pull live property listings, photos, prices, and metadata. The US has 900+ MLSs, each covering a geographic region. Your job is to integrate with one or more of them, normalize the data into a consistent format, and display it on your platform in real-time. An MLS integration system fetches new listings every 15 minutes, detects delisted properties, updates prices and photos, and ensures compliance with the MLS's terms of service. It's part ETL (extract-transform-load), part compliance, part real-time data management.
