Our Commitment
JobCannon is committed to making our platform accessible to all users, regardless of ability or technology. We believe everyone deserves equal access to career development tools and remote work opportunities. We are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Accessibility Measures
We have implemented the following accessibility measures across the platform:
- Skip-to-content link available on all pages for keyboard users
- Full keyboard navigation support throughout the application
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate landmark regions
- Alternative text provided for all meaningful images
- Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Form inputs paired with descriptive labels
- Error messages linked to their associated fields
Technical Compatibility
JobCannon is designed to work with the following assistive technologies:
- NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) with Firefox on Windows
- VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
- JAWS (Job Access With Speech) with Chrome on Windows
- TalkBack with Chrome on Android
We recommend using a recent version of your preferred screen reader alongside an up-to-date browser for the best experience.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas are still being improved:
- Some data visualizations (charts and progress graphs) may not be fully accessible to screen reader users — we are working on text-based alternatives
- Certain animated content may cause discomfort for users with vestibular disorders — we respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query and disable non-essential animations when it is enabled
