Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Moral Dilemma Test?
It is a free reflection quiz that puts you inside 15 everyday dilemmas from work, friendships, family and community. Each answer leans on one of five traditions in moral philosophy: outcomes, duty, character, care or fairness. Your result shows which lens you reach for first, and which ones come second and third.
How is this different from the Moral Alignment test?
The Moral Alignment test places you on a Dungeons & Dragons style grid that runs from lawful to chaotic and from good to evil. This test does not rank you on good or evil at all. It describes how you reason: through consequences, principles, character, care or fairness.
Are there right or wrong answers?
No. Every option in every scenario is a defensible position that a thoughtful person could take, and the test never scores one as more moral than another. Your result describes your pattern of reasoning in these 15 scenarios, not how good a person you are.
Is the Moral Dilemma Test scientifically validated?
No. The five lenses come from well-documented traditions in moral philosophy, and the science behind how people judge right and wrong is real, but the scenarios are an original JobCannon reflection tool rather than a peer-reviewed scale. Treat the result as a prompt for thinking, not a measurement.
How long does it take?
A couple of minutes. There are 15 short scenarios with four options each, and your result appears as soon as you answer the last one.
Can my result change if I take it again?
Yes. Stakes, relationships and pressure all shift which lens feels natural. A person might lean on fairness when judging a stranger and on care when the person involved is a friend, so a result is a snapshot of how you answered today.
