Frequently Asked Questions
What is Socionics?
Socionics is a personality theory developed in the 1970s–80s that builds on Jung's psychological types, similar in spirit to MBTI but with its own model of how types relate to each other. One of its key ideas is the 'quadra' — a cluster of types that share core values. This quiz focuses on the four quadras: Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta.
How does the Socionics quiz work?
You answer questions about what you value, how you process ideas and emotions, and how you prefer to work with others. The quiz reads which set of values your answers cluster around — playful exploration (Alpha), bold conviction (Beta), pragmatic results (Gamma), or steady practicality (Delta) — and explains your quadra's strengths.
How is Socionics different from MBTI?
Both grow out of Jung's type theory and use similar four-letter codes, but they developed separately and define the functions differently, so your Socionics type won't always map cleanly onto your MBTI type. Socionics also puts more emphasis on inter-type relationships and value clusters (quadras). Neither is a clinically validated test — both are best treated as frameworks for self-reflection.
