Petition Platform Building is the skill of creating platforms where communities organize collective action through petitions. Users create petitions, others sign them, petitions reach critical mass and get delivered to decision-makers, and change happens (ideally). Petition platforms combine civic tech, social networks, and community features. You need user-generated content systems (moderation, spam detection), payment processing (if monetizing), email virality (signature growth), and community trust (safety, privacy, transparency).
