What is the Human Design Test?
Human Design is a contemporary self-knowledge system created by Ra Uru Hu (born Robert Alan Krakower, 1948–2011), who described "receiving" it during an eight-day experience on the island of Ibiza in January 1987. It blends several older traditions — the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, the planets of Western astrology, the sephirot of the Kabbalist Tree of Life, and the chakra system of Hindu yoga, which it reorganises into nine energy "centers". A full reading is generated from a person's exact birth date, time and place, producing a chart called a "BodyGraph".
The most-used part of that chart is the Energy Type, of which there are five. Manifestors (around 9%) are independent initiators who act on inner urges and inform before they move. Generators (around 37%) are the steady life-force engine who thrive by responding to work they love. Manifesting Generators (around 33%) are a fast, multi-passionate hybrid of the two. Projectors (around 20%) are perceptive guides who wait for invitation and recognition. Reflectors (around 1%) are rare, wide-open mirrors who sample the health of their environment and wait a lunar cycle before big decisions. Each type has a "strategy" for working with its energy and a "not-self" theme — anger, frustration, bitterness or disappointment — said to signal living against your design.
JobCannon's Human Design test asks 15 quick questions about how you start things, use energy, make decisions and recharge, then maps your answers onto those five types to show which one your instincts lean toward. It is a playful proxy, not a real BodyGraph calculation — a genuine chart needs your exact birth time — and Human Design itself is a New Age synthesis, not a scientifically validated test. This quiz is not affiliated with or endorsed by Jovian Archive. Read your result as a reflective prompt about how you like to work and rest, not a verdict.
