Artistic Type (RIASEC)

One of six Holland Code types. Artistic people prefer creative, unstructured work involving self-expression, imagination, and originality. Careers: design, writing, music, fine arts.

The Artistic type (also called "Creators") represents people who value self-expression, originality, and working in unstructured environments that allow creative freedom.

Artistic types resist rules and routine. They prefer ambiguity over structure and innovation over tradition. They're drawn to environments that reward imagination and aesthetic sensibility.

Common careers: graphic designer, writer, musician, architect, photographer, filmmaker, actor, art director, UX designer, and marketing creative. Artistic types often pair with Investigative (AI) or Social (AS) as secondary types.
