Conventional (C) is Holland's code for orderly, systematic, detail-oriented people. They enjoy structure, clear rules, and implementing established procedures. They prefer predictability and efficiency.
Conventional careers include: accountant, administrator, bookkeeper, data analyst, secretary, auditor, bank teller, and systems administrator. Work environment: structured, predictable, hierarchical, clear procedures, measurable outcomes, attention to accuracy.
Conventional types are the backbone of organizations, they're reliable, thorough, and loyal to systems. They're motivated by stability, order, and doing things "the right way." The challenge: may resist innovation or change. Combined with Enterprising, they become CFOs and business administrators. Combined with Realistic, they become plant managers. Career satisfaction comes from efficiency, mastery of systems, and organizational stability.
