The popular VAK framework describes four recognisable modalities: Visual learners think in pictures and absorb diagrams, charts, and maps fastest; Auditory learners learn by listening and talking things through; Reading/Writing learners prefer words, notes, and lists; and Kinesthetic learners learn by doing, with hands-on practice and real examples.
