Connect ClassLink single sign-on for your district through JobCannon's SAML login system
ClassLink is supported as a SAML 2.0 identity provider inside the same district single-sign-on system that also handles Feide, Skolfederation and VIDIS. It is provisioned per district by our team today; a listing in the ClassLink Application Library is pending review.
In brief
JobCannon's district SSO system (Supabase signInWithSSO under the hood) treats ClassLink as one of its supported identity-provider kinds alongside generic SAML federations. There is no self-serve toggle yet: our team runs a short setup with your district's ClassLink SAML metadata, verifies the domain, and turns on sign-in. We have applied to be listed in the ClassLink Application Library, which would let districts add JobCannon themselves — that application is submitted and awaiting a reply. Like Clever, this is sign-in only; no ClassLink roster or class-list sync is built.
What the ClassLink integration enables
SAML 2.0, not a bespoke protocol
ClassLink districts already run a SAML identity provider for their app launchpad. JobCannon consumes that same SAML assertion — no ClassLink-specific protocol work, no separate credential type.
Same district-domain safety model as Clever
A ClassLink sign-in only provisions membership once the district's email domain is verified against a specific organisation — an unverified or unrecognised domain is refused, not guessed at.
Application Library listing pending
We have submitted JobCannon to the ClassLink Application Library, which would put self-serve setup in front of any ClassLink district admin. Until that clears review, setup is done by our team on request.
How it works
From ClassLink admin to first scored student.
- 1
Share your ClassLink SAML metadata
Send your district's ClassLink IdP metadata (or your ClassLink OneClick admin contact) to partners@jobcannon.io.
- 2
We register the connection
Our team creates the SAML connection and verifies your district's email domain — a one-time setup, not a self-serve toggle yet.
- 3
Staff and students sign in via ClassLink
From the district's ClassLink LaunchPad (or JobCannon's own SAML login), a click authenticates through your district's existing ClassLink identity provider.
4 career-readiness assessments available via ClassLink
Same catalog across every JobCannon K-12 integration — career-interest and self-awareness instruments, not clinical or esoteric tests.
Why schools and districts pick JobCannon for ClassLink
- 4 career-readiness assessments built for a school setting — RIASEC, Career Match (Mini RIASEC), Big Five and EQ — behind the same result envelope used everywhere else on JobCannon, not a separate schools-only product with its own scoring.
- Multi-tenant org isolation by design — each district's students are isolated at the row level (RLS), the same mechanism that separates every JobCannon B2B customer from every other.
- Sign-in and rostering are kept honestly separate: a connector that only authenticates identity is never described as importing class rosters, and a connector that syncs rosters is never described as a login method.
- EU-resident data + GDPR-ready DPA, and a documented data-minimisation posture for under-13 students rather than a parental-consent workflow — see the FERPA and COPPA guides on jobcannon.io/b2b.
SSO and rostering connectors are a platform capability, not a separate line item — no per-connector surcharge is planned on any tier. District-wide assessment licensing (priced per enrolled student for larger districts) is a separate, explicitly quoted arrangement — talk to us rather than assuming a self-serve SaaS tier price covers it.
Frequently asked
Is ClassLink self-serve like some other apps in our LaunchPad?+
Not yet. It is real, working SAML SSO, but our team sets it up per district while our ClassLink Application Library listing is under review — email partners@jobcannon.io to start.
Does this import rosters from ClassLink OneRoster?+
No. This is the ClassLink identity/SSO path only. Roster and class data (which ClassLink also exposes via its own OneRoster feed) would come through JobCannon's separate OneRoster connector, not through this SSO connection.
How is this different from the Clever integration?+
Same shape, different vendor: both are tier-1, sign-in-only identity providers on JobCannon's district SSO system. Clever's connector went live for a district first; ClassLink runs on the same underlying SAML mechanism.
Other K-12 integrations
Clever
Available on requestJobCannon supports Clever Instant Login (tier-1 SSO) — no separate JobCannon username or password. This is sign-in only; no roster or class-list import runs through Clever today.
OneRoster
Coming soonJobCannon's OneRoster client is generic: point it at your district's own OneRoster server — ClassLink, Feide, Skolfederation, VIDIS, the Japan OneRoster profile, or an SIS that exposes a OneRoster feed directly — and it pulls courses, classes, students and enrollments over the same open standard.
Google Classroom
Coming soonA dedicated Google Cloud OAuth client — separate from JobCannon's existing Google sign-in — requests exactly two read-only Classroom scopes: course lists and student rosters. It reads roster data; it is not a login method.
