Schoology LMS integration is on the roadmap — no adapter exists yet
JobCannon has no Schoology connector, LTI implementation, or embedded-assessment code today. This page exists so a Schoology district knows exactly where things stand: nothing is built, and the standard path when it is will be LTI 1.3, not a bespoke API client.
In brief
Be direct about this one too: there is no Schoology code in JobCannon today — no LTI tool, no Schoology API client, nothing embedded in a Schoology course. The natural way to bring JobCannon assessments into Schoology is the LTI 1.3 standard it already supports for third-party tools, and that is the planned approach rather than a Schoology-specific REST integration. Until it is built, a Schoology school can still use JobCannon as a standalone site linked from a course page — that costs nothing to set up today, it just is not an embedded LTI experience.
What the Schoology integration enables
Nothing built yet — stated plainly
No LTI tool, no Schoology API client, no embedded launch flow exists in JobCannon today.
LTI 1.3 is the planned mechanism
When this is built, it will use the LTI 1.3 standard Schoology already supports for third-party tools, rather than a one-off Schoology API integration.
A standalone link works today
A Schoology instructor can already link students to a JobCannon assessment as an external URL from a course page — no roster sync, no single sign-on, no grade passback.
How it works
From Schoology admin to first scored student.
- 1
Today: link out from a course page
Add a JobCannon assessment link as a web-link resource inside your Schoology course — students click through and complete it outside Schoology.
- 2
Planned: LTI 1.3 tool registration
Once built, a Schoology admin would register JobCannon as an LTI 1.3 external tool at the system or course level.
- 3
Planned: launch from inside the course
Students would launch the assessment from a Schoology course without leaving the Schoology shell, with identity carried by the LTI launch rather than a separate login.
4 career-readiness assessments available via Schoology
Same catalog across every JobCannon K-12 integration — career-interest and self-awareness instruments, not clinical or esoteric tests.
Why schools and districts pick JobCannon for Schoology
- 4 career-readiness assessments built for a school setting — RIASEC, Career Match (Mini RIASEC), Big Five and EQ — behind the same result envelope used everywhere else on JobCannon, not a separate schools-only product with its own scoring.
- Multi-tenant org isolation by design — each district's students are isolated at the row level (RLS), the same mechanism that separates every JobCannon B2B customer from every other.
- Sign-in and rostering are kept honestly separate: a connector that only authenticates identity is never described as importing class rosters, and a connector that syncs rosters is never described as a login method.
- EU-resident data + GDPR-ready DPA, and a documented data-minimisation posture for under-13 students rather than a parental-consent workflow — see the FERPA and COPPA guides on jobcannon.io/b2b.
SSO and rostering connectors are a platform capability, not a separate line item — no per-connector surcharge is planned on any tier. District-wide assessment licensing (priced per enrolled student for larger districts) is a separate, explicitly quoted arrangement — talk to us rather than assuming a self-serve SaaS tier price covers it.
Frequently asked
Can we use JobCannon with Schoology today?+
Yes, as a standalone link from a course page — no embedded LTI experience, no roster sync, no grade passback. That part works right now.
Is an LTI integration actually being built?+
It is planned, not started. This page will be updated to reflect real status rather than a target date once work begins.
Why LTI 1.3 specifically?+
It is the standard mechanism Schoology already supports for third-party tools, so it avoids building and maintaining a Schoology-specific API client for a single LMS.
Other K-12 integrations
Canvas
Coming soonJobCannon has no Canvas connector, LTI implementation, or embedded-assessment code today. This page exists so a Canvas district knows exactly where things stand: nothing is built, and the standard path when it is will be LTI 1.3, not a bespoke API client.
OneRoster
Coming soonJobCannon's OneRoster client is generic: point it at your district's own OneRoster server — ClassLink, Feide, Skolfederation, VIDIS, the Japan OneRoster profile, or an SIS that exposes a OneRoster feed directly — and it pulls courses, classes, students and enrollments over the same open standard.
Google Classroom
Coming soonA dedicated Google Cloud OAuth client — separate from JobCannon's existing Google sign-in — requests exactly two read-only Classroom scopes: course lists and student rosters. It reads roster data; it is not a login method.
