What is the Maturity Test?
Emotional maturity describes how steadily a person manages feelings, takes responsibility, holds other people's perspectives, and acts from their own values rather than impulse or approval. Unlike chronological age, it isn't fixed by how many years you've lived, two people the same age can sit at very different points, and the same person can be mature in one area of life while still growing in another. Psychologists generally treat it as a developmental, changeable capacity rather than a fixed trait.

This Maturity Test is a self-reflection tool built around four widely recognised domains of emotional maturity: emotional regulation (handling strong feelings without being run by them), responsibility (owning your choices and commitments), perspective and empathy (seeing beyond your own viewpoint), and independence (acting from your own values).
