The basics

What is the Menhera Test?

Menhera (メンヘラ) is Japanese slang for someone whose feelings run heavy in a relationship: checking for a reply again and again, worrying about who a partner is with, giving more than feels sustainable, or pulling away to see if the other person will follow. The word grew out of internet talk about mental health and is often used as a teasing or even unkind label, which is exactly why this test does not use it to judge anyone. It looks at the moment, not the person: what do you actually do when a message sits unread, when an ex is mentioned, when a date is cancelled?

The Menhera Test puts you in 15 everyday love scenes and asks what you would most likely do. Every scene offers four honest reactions. Three of them are ways a worry can show up, and one is the calm "take it in stride" answer. Your result is the heaviness type that came up most: the Reassurance Seeker who wants to hear "it's okay" one more time, the Jealousy Antenna who notices small changes fast, the Devoted Giver who says I love you by doing, or the Tester who pulls back to see if they will be held on to. You also get one of three levels of how often the heaviness showed up, given as a plain description and not as a score.

This is an entertainment self-understanding quiz about how feelings show up in relationships. It is not a medical or psychological diagnosis, it cannot tell you whether anyone has a condition, and it should not be used to label a partner. It shows no percentiles and no statistics, because there are none behind it. If hard feelings keep piling up, the result page lists free consultation services in Japan from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

  • A 15-question quiz that puts you in everyday love scenes, like a message that stays unread or a partner going out with friends you do not know, and shows which of four heaviness types you lean toward. It is a light, honest look at how your feelings show up, not a clinical tool.

  • Menhera (メンヘラ) is Japanese slang. It began as internet talk about mental health and is now mostly used for someone who gets emotionally heavy in relationships. Because it can be used unkindly, the test treats it as a description of how feelings show up in a moment, not as a type of person.

  • No. It is an entertainment self-understanding quiz and not a medical or psychological diagnosis. It cannot say whether anyone has a condition. If difficult feelings keep piling up, the result page links to free consultation services in Japan.

  • The Reassurance Seeker (確認したがり) wants to hear "it's okay" again and again. The Jealousy Antenna (嫉妬アンテナ) notices small changes in a partner very fast. The Devoted Giver (尽くし込み) says I love you by doing and tires quietly. The Tester (試し行動) pulls back on purpose to see if they will be held on to.

  • They describe how often you picked the heavy reactions instead of the "take it in stride" answers: mostly steady, gets heavy sometimes, or weight shows easily. They are not a score, a ranking or a comparison with other people. Nobody's result is bad.

  • So the result reflects your real reactions and not only your worries. Each scene includes one answer where you let it pass and go back to your own things. How often you chose it sets your level, and it is not counted toward any type.

  • Yes, and most people are. The test shows the type that came up most. The others are usually present to a smaller degree and tend to appear in different relationships or when you are tired.

  • It can. What comes up depends on the relationship, how secure you feel and how much is going on in your life. Retaking the test after a few months can show a different type or level.

  • The test and the result are free, with no email and no signup needed to take it. You can create a profile if you want to keep your results.

  • Read the tip written for your type and try just one thing from it. It is not meant to fix you or to prove anything about your partner. If you want a more structured look, the Attachment Styles test is a good next step.

  • No. The questions and type names are original and are not based on any specific anime, game, character or franchise.
