Built for high school CCR / ESSA reporting
Assessment-completion records, archetype data, Career Match alignment to post-grad pathway. Maps to Texas CCMR, Ohio CCR, Florida CCR diploma, NC CCR endorsement and other state-specific frameworks.
JobCannon for High School College and Career Readiness contributes assessment-based evidence to ESSA CCRI and state-specific frameworks (Texas CCMR, Ohio CCR, Florida CCR diploma, NC CCR endorsement). The platform is framework-agnostic: it produces assessment-completion records, Big Five and RIASEC archetype data, and Career Match alignment to declared post-grad pathway. District data leads map our exports to state-specific submission schemas (PEIMS, EMIS, FOCUS, PowerSchool overlays). Career Guide output supports Individual Graduation Plan, Career Plan, or post-secondary plan documentation underneath the formal IGP form. Complements ASVAB Career Exploration Programme — ASVAB CEP for aptitude and military-pathway data, JobCannon for personality, civilian career fit, and longitudinal tracking. Asynchronous and mobile-friendly so assessments do not eat counsellor proctoring time. For districts subscribing to National Student Clearinghouse StudentTracker, the platform learns which Career Match outputs predicted actual enrolment over four years. Free for students; counsellor and district dashboards run on Business tier or scoped under district partnership for large LEA deployments.

Tell us your high school enrolment, your state CCR framework, and your data submission schema. We respond with a pilot plan within two business days.
ESSA gives states latitude on the College and Career Readiness Indicator (CCRI) — most state plans include some combination of dual enrolment, AP/IB exam performance, industry-recognised credentials, CTE concentrator status, military enlistment, and assessment-based career-readiness markers. JobCannon contributes the assessment-based marker: documented student completion of validated career-readiness assessments, archetype data, Career Match alignment to declared post-grad pathway. The output supports your state-report-card narrative and gives the auditor a defensible source for CCR percentages claimed. Final indicator definition is your state's; we provide the assessment-completion evidence the indicator typically references.
Texas CCMR (College, Career, and Military Readiness), Ohio Honors Diploma CCR pathway, Florida CCR diploma designation, North Carolina CCR endorsement — each state has its own framework name and definition. The platform is framework-agnostic: it produces assessment-completion records and Career Match outputs that fit whichever state framework your district reports against. We work with district data leads to map our exports to your state's specific data submission schema (PEIMS in Texas, EMIS in Ohio, FOCUS in Florida, PowerSchool overlays in NC).
Most states require an Individual Graduation Plan (IGP), Career Plan, or post-secondary plan signed by the student and reviewed by the counsellor at multiple checkpoints. JobCannon produces a Career Guide document that can serve as the assessment-and-pathway evidence underneath the formal IGP. We do not replace the IGP form itself — that is typically a state-prescribed document signed in your SIS. We produce the data that informs the IGP and provide a printable Career Guide summary the student attaches to their IGP file.
ASVAB CEP is widely deployed in US high schools — many students take ASVAB-CEP as their default career assessment. JobCannon and ASVAB CEP do not conflict. ASVAB CEP gives you aptitude data and a military-recruiting-adjacent career interest inventory. JobCannon gives you Big Five personality data, EQ, validated RIASEC, and Career Match against a 2,536-career graph not tied to the recruitment pipeline. Many districts run both and use ASVAB CEP for aptitude/military-pathway data and JobCannon for personality, civilian-career fit, and longitudinal tracking.
Most states run state assessments in spring (PSSA, FCAT, STAAR, FSA, MCAS, etc.) and CCR-related activities in autumn or winter. JobCannon assessments take 25-90 minutes per student depending on battery; districts typically schedule them in October-November (sophomores), late October (juniors initial), and February-March (seniors final pathway commitment). The platform is asynchronous and mobile-friendly so students complete on their schedule, freeing counsellor time for conversations rather than proctoring.
For districts subscribing to National Student Clearinghouse StudentTracker, post-graduation enrolment data flows back to the SIS. JobCannon does not replicate StudentTracker; we link our Career Match prediction to the StudentTracker outcome. Over four years of cohorts, the district sees which Career Match outputs predicted enrolment at the school the graduate actually attended, and the platform learns which prediction patterns generalise to your district's specific graduate population.
