Is this really free for our company?

Yes. All 57 assessments are free for everyone — individuals, teams, and organizations. No per-employee fees, no annual contracts, no setup costs. Employees take tests via a shared link and get instant results. We monetize through optional premium features for individuals, not through B2B licensing.

Are these tests validated for workplace use?

Our assessments are built on peer-reviewed frameworks: Big Five (Costa & McCrae, 1992 — the gold standard in personality research), DISC (Marston, 1928), RIASEC/Holland Codes (used by O*NET and the US Department of Labor), and Goleman EQ (1995). They are self-report tools for awareness and conversation, not diagnostic tools, screening instruments, or medical devices. For hiring, we recommend using them as one data point alongside interviews and work samples — never as a sole hiring criterion.

Can managers see employee results?

Currently, each person receives their own results individually. We are building a Team Dashboard where managers can view aggregated team profiles (type distributions, EQ averages, communication style mix) without accessing individual results. Contact us below for early access.

How do employees take the tests?

Share a test link via email, Slack, or your intranet. Employees click the link, take the test (5-15 minutes), and get instant results. No account creation required — they can take tests anonymously. If they choose to sign up, they get a personal dashboard to track all their results.

Is employee data safe and GDPR compliant?

Yes. We are GDPR compliant. Employees can take tests anonymously without creating accounts. No personal data is collected unless they voluntarily sign up. We never share individual data with employers or third parties. All data is stored on EU-compliant infrastructure (Supabase/AWS). Employees can request data deletion at any time.

How does this compare to paid providers like Gallup or DISC?

Paid providers charge $20-200 per employee per assessment and often require $2,000-5,000 facilitator certification. JobCannon uses the same underlying science (Big Five, DISC, Holland Codes) at zero cost. The trade-off: we don't offer facilitator-led workshops or custom reporting (yet). For most HR use cases — onboarding, team awareness, development conversations — free self-service tests deliver 80% of the value at 0% of the cost.
