FAQ

Is the Spanish version production-ready or still in build?

Honest answer: Spanish is in active build, not production-ready as of this page going live. We have full English production and a Spanish localisation effort underway. The first wave covers test landing pages, assessment items, and result framing for the highest-deployment instruments (RIASEC, Big Five, Skills Audit, Career Match). Production-readiness for the full battery is targeted within the next quarter, dependent on linguistic review by Latin American Spanish reviewers — Spanish-language psychometric instruments need regional review beyond mechanical translation. Partnership-tier engagements with NGO operators include collaborative review and accelerate production-readiness for that operator's needed assessments.

Which Spanish — Spain, Mexico, Colombia, generic Latin American?

We default to Latin American Spanish with regional review for Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, and Spain — the platform localisation supports per-deployment language tag override, so an NGO running cohorts primarily in Argentina can deploy with Argentine Spanish review while an NGO running in Mexico can deploy with Mexican Spanish review. We do not pretend a single "Latin American Spanish" handles all regional variation; psychometric instruments are sensitive to idiomatic phrasing and we want regional review for any large-scale deployment.

How does this work for US Hispanic workforce-development cohorts?

Many US workforce-development programmes serve majority-Hispanic populations — Texas, California, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, parts of New York and New Jersey. Bilingual case managers typically handle the language layer today through interpretation. Spanish localisation gives those participants direct access without case-manager interpretation, which improves participation rates and reduces case-manager workload. The localisation effort serves both LATAM and US Hispanic deployments, with regional dialect override available where relevant.

Which other languages are sponsorable?

Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic with Levantine and Gulf review), Ukrainian, French (France and West Africa), and Mandarin Simplified are all sponsorable on partnership-tier engagements with a four-to-six-week localisation timeline. We do not claim any of these as production-ready before they are. NGO partnership engagements covering localisation work get prioritised access to the localised version once review is complete.

How does this fit USAID, Inter-American Development Bank, and World Bank-funded programmes?

Workforce-development programmes funded by USAID, IDB, World Bank, and similar multilaterals typically have indicator frameworks expecting career-readiness assessment evidence as part of beneficiary outcomes data. JobCannon contributes the assessment-completion evidence and Career Match alignment data feeding the readiness column of the indicator framework. We do not file directly with funder data systems; we provide the structured CSV the implementing partner uses in their submission. For multilateral-funded programmes the partnership-tier engagement covers any localisation work needed to fit the country-of-implementation language requirements.

What about Mexican CONOCER and Colombian SENA-aligned cohorts?

Mexico's CONOCER (Consejo Nacional de Normalización y Certificación de Competencias Laborales) and Colombia's SENA (Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje) define competency frameworks for workforce certification. The platform's Skills Audit instrument can be configured to map against CONOCER ECs (Estándares de Competencia) and SENA-defined competencies under partnership-tier engagement. We do not certify against CONOCER or SENA; we produce assessment data the implementing partner uses alongside formal certification pathways. The integration is at the data layer, not at the certifying-body layer.
