Are these team assessments really free?

Yes — every assessment is free to take with full results included, for every team member. Unlike DISC providers ($50-200 per person) or Gallup StrengthsFinder ($20+ per code), JobCannon has no per-seat pricing and no team licenses required. Share the link with your team and everyone takes the test independently. We also offer an optional individual Premium tier with a deeper career guide for users who want it, but the core team-assessment experience is free.

Which personality test is best for teams?

DISC is the most widely used team assessment — it measures workplace behavior in 4 styles (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness). For deeper understanding, add Big Five (personality traits) and EQ (emotional intelligence). For role assignment, use RIASEC Career Match. All free on JobCannon.

Can I use these tests for hiring?

Yes, with caveats. Personality tests should supplement, not replace, interviews and skills assessment. Big Five Conscientiousness is the strongest personality predictor of job performance (r=0.20-0.30). DISC helps predict team fit. However, never use personality tests as the sole hiring criterion — this risks discrimination and misses situational factors.

How do I run a team personality workshop?

Step 1: Everyone takes the DISC test (12 questions, 3 min). Step 2: Share results in a team meeting — discuss each person's style. Step 3: Map the team composition (are we heavy on D styles? Missing S styles?). Step 4: Create communication agreements based on styles. Step 5: Follow up with Big Five for deeper understanding. Total time: 1 hour. Cost: $0.

Do team members need to create accounts?

No. Anyone can take any test as a guest and their results are saved in their browser. Optional free accounts let team members save results across devices and share via link.

What about team reports and dashboards?

Currently, each team member gets individual results. We're building a team dashboard feature that will aggregate team personality profiles, show composition balance, and identify communication gaps. Contact us below for early access.

How is this different from paid team assessments?
