Map prior occupation to realistic host-country pathways. Free for refugee participants.

Skills Audit captures transferable skills without requiring credential equivalence. Career Guide shows realistic host-country pathways including bridging routes. Used by IRC, USCRI, ECDC, ECDC, World Relief and partner agencies.

In Brief

JobCannon for Refugee Resettlement Skills Mapping serves refugee participants with career and skills assessment that respects the gap between prior-country occupational identity and host-country labour-market reality. The Skills Audit captures transferable skills without requiring credential equivalence; Career Guide shows realistic host-country pathways including bridging routes such as credential recognition programmes, accelerated retraining, and parallel-skill roles. The conversation shifts from credential mismatch to actionable pathway. Used by US prime affiliates (IRC, USCRI, Church World Service, World Relief, HIAS, LIRS, USCCB, ECDC, EMM) and their partner agencies under multi-tenant deployments where each partner sees only their caseload. Production-ready in English; Spanish in active build; Arabic, Ukrainian, and Portuguese sponsorable on partnership tier with four-to-six-week localisation timeline. Reception and Placement programme reporting supported via case-level CSV exports; we provide the assessment-completion record fields your monitoring and evaluation team includes in PRM/PRMA submissions. Refugee participant access is free; partner-agency dashboard runs on Business tier or scoped under partnership for prime affiliates.

FAQ

How does the platform handle prior occupation that does not map cleanly to host-country roles?

Most refugees arrive with occupational identity from a country where the labour-market structure differs significantly. A Syrian civil engineer or an Afghan teacher does not slot directly into the equivalent US or UK role without credential recognition, language proficiency, and often retraining. The platform separates two layers: the Skills Audit captures transferable skills (project management, technical reasoning, language proficiency, leadership experience) without requiring credential equivalence, while Career Match shows realistic host-country pathways including bridging routes — credential recognition programmes, accelerated retraining, parallel-skill roles. The conversation moves from "your engineering degree does not work here" to "your engineering experience opens these three pathways with these typical timelines".

Which languages are production-ready right now?

English is fully production-ready. Spanish is in active build for Latin American partner agencies. Portuguese, Arabic, and Ukrainian are sponsorable — meaning we will localise within four to six weeks if a resettlement agency commits to a partnership tier covering the localisation work. We do not claim languages as production-ready before they are. For agencies serving Arabic-speaking caseloads today, the platform works with case-manager-mediated assessment using English text and case-manager interpretation; we do not pretend that is the same as native-language UI.

Does this work with case managers who are juggling 30-50 cases?

Yes. Case managers do not administer assessments — refugees take them on their own device or on a partner-agency kiosk. The case manager sees a dashboard with completion status, archetype, RIASEC code, and Career Guide recommendation per caseload member. The dashboard surfaces the three pieces a case manager actually needs in a 20-minute case meeting: realistic occupational pathway, transferable skills statement for the resume, and any flagged barriers (e.g., low EQ scores correlated with isolation risk in the first six months).

How does this fit Reception and Placement programme reporting?

For US Reception and Placement (R and P) programmes, the platform exports completion data at the case level for inclusion in your PRM/PRMA reporting. We do not directly file reports with the Department of State or HHS-ORR; we provide the assessment-completion record fields your monitoring and evaluation team includes in their submission to Cooperative Agreement performance metrics. For UK programmes (UKRS, ARAP, ACRS), exports map to your AGGIE-style local-authority-tracker. For EU programmes, exports map to UNHCR-recommended skills profiling indicators.

What about clients with no formal education or with significant gaps?

The assessment battery does not require formal education. RIASEC is image-and-statement based and works at any literacy level (with case-manager support for very low literacy). Skills Audit captures lived-experience skills (childcare, agriculture, trade work, languages) alongside formal skills. Multiple Intelligences is particularly valuable for clients without formal education because it surfaces strengths the formal-education world undersells (kinesthetic, interpersonal, naturalistic). Career Guide output for these clients leans on entry pathways, vocational training, and apprenticeship routes rather than degree-credential pathways.

Can the platform support partner-agency rollouts inside one prime affiliate contract?

Yes. A prime affiliate (IRC, USCRI, Church World Service, World Relief, ECDC, HIAS, LIRS, USCCB, Ethiopian Community Development Council, EMM) running through ten or more local partner agencies can set up each partner as a separate cohort under one master account. Aggregate dashboard rolls up across partners. Each partner sees only their caseload. Partnership tier covers this multi-tenant structure under one engagement.
