Built for DoD SkillBridge industry partners
Skills Audit captures formal occupational training and undersold leadership skills. Career Match against 2,536 civilian careers including non-obvious adjacencies. Designed for the 180-day SkillBridge cadence.
JobCannon for Veterans SkillBridge Transition serves DoD SkillBridge industry partners, Veterans Employment Toolkit programmes, Chapter 31 VRandE-supporting employers, and Vet Center pre-counselling intake. The Skills Audit captures formal MOS, rate, AFSC, and rating training alongside leadership, technical, and operational skills service members typically undersell on resumes. Career Match runs the skill cluster against the 2,536-career knowledge graph and surfaces civilian roles where the overlap is high, including non-obvious adjacencies — a 25B Information Technology Specialist sees IT roles plus operations management and security-cleared adjacencies; a 0311 Marine Rifleman sees security plus operations, logistics, and federal law enforcement pathways. Designed for the 180-day SkillBridge window: full battery in week one or two, industry-partner mentor sees Career Guide alongside internship-track placement. Complements DoL TAP curriculum without replacing it. Not on FedRAMP — confirm with your security officer if you handle CUI under SkillBridge-adjacent contracts. Servicemember access is free; industry-partner dashboard runs on Business tier or scoped under partnership for multi-cohort SkillBridge employers.
MOS-mapped, transition-paced, mentor-friendly.

The Skills Audit captures both formal occupational training (every Army MOS, Navy rate, Air Force AFSC, Marine MOS, Space Force USSF code, and Coast Guard rating maps to skill clusters in the underlying knowledge graph) and the leadership, technical, and operational skills service members typically undersell on resumes. Career Match runs the cluster against the 2,536-career knowledge graph and surfaces civilian roles where the skill overlap is high, including non-obvious adjacencies. A 25B Information Technology Specialist sees not just IT-equivalent roles but also operations management, technical project management, and security-cleared adjacent careers; a 0311 Marine Rifleman sees not just security-contractor adjacencies but also operations, logistics coordination, and federal law enforcement pathways.
Yes. The platform is designed for the SkillBridge cadence: a transitioning servicemember takes the full battery in the first two weeks of the SkillBridge internship, the industry partner sees the Career Guide recommendation alongside the internship-track placement, and the conversation between mentor and servicemember has data behind it instead of pure intuition. Industry partners running multiple SkillBridge cohorts get a dashboard view across cohorts. The platform does not replace mandatory TAP curriculum from the Department of Labor; it complements TAP with deeper personality and career-fit data than the Veterans Employment Toolkit alone provides.
Chapter 31 VR and E counsellors use the platform alongside their counselling intake to ground the Initial Evaluation in psychometric and skills data. The Career Guide output is a discussion artefact, not a binding determination — VRandE counsellors retain full clinical and counselling judgement on plan development. We do not credential or contract directly with VA; the platform deploys under the VRandE-supporting employer or the SkillBridge industry partner contract. Some Vet Center programmes use it for pre-counselling intake to make the first counselling session more focused.
JobCannon is not on the FedRAMP authorisation list and we do not handle classified or controlled unclassified information. Assessment answers and outcomes do not constitute CUI under most reasonable interpretations of NIST SP 800-171, but if your industry-partner programme has specific contractual data-handling requirements (CMMC Level 2, ITAR-adjacent), confirm with your security officer before deploying. For SkillBridge use cases that are unclassified, the platform sits within standard SaaS data-handling expectations.
Military spouse career-pivot is a separate use case (see /use-cases/military-spouse-portable-careers) but spouses can be enrolled alongside servicemembers in any programme that serves the family unit. Gold Star family members and surviving spouses get the same access; we do not gate the platform by service connection. Programmes serving extended military community can deploy a single cohort tagged for spouse, dependent, surviving family member, or transitioning servicemember without requiring separate platforms.
CSV export of completion records, skill-cluster summaries, and Career Guide recommendations supports your existing DoL VETS-100 reporting and DoD SkillBridge programme metrics. We do not file directly with DoL or DoD. Industry partners running SkillBridge programmes typically include assessment-completion rate as one of the programme-quality indicators in their annual review with the DoD SkillBridge programme office.
