What are the CEFR levels?

A1 and A2 (Elementary), B1 and B2 (Independent), C1 and C2 (Proficient). Standard across Europe and many countries globally.

Is CEFR only for languages?

Originally yes, but the framework has been adapted for other skills. CEFR-style rubrics now exist for digital literacy and technical skills.

They require CEFR levels for international roles. B2 is often the minimum for professional communication. C1+ for leadership roles.

Standardized exams like Cambridge, IELTS, and TOEFL map to CEFR. Self-assessment tools exist but are less reliable.
