What is the best method to assess your skill level?

Combine self-reflection, peer feedback, and practical tests. Practical results are most objective; self-report is most biased.

How do you know if your self-assessment is accurate?

Compare your rating against external benchmarks: test scores, feedback from others, or outcomes of work you've completed.

Can I do this task independently? How long does it take? Can I teach it to others? Do I need references or help?

Quarterly is reasonable. After major projects, reassess immediately. Skills decay; annual reassessment catches gaps.
