The shipped result draws the line precisely at the next step — it does not yet reach reading a colleague's message and answering it. That is the practical ceiling of A1: written Spanish that was written for you to understand works; written Spanish that assumes you will reply in kind does not, yet. Gender and number agreement is worth drilling early here, since it touches every sentence you will ever write in Spanish, however short.
